## Write-up
Kinda Sorta is a community-first branding agency founded by Mallory Loar, former Lead Marketing at Discord, working mostly with AI and gaming companies.

They had no site, no history, and a brand identity still in progress at Fiona Tran's end while I designed. For an agency that sells creative work, the site is not a brochure. It is the portfolio, the pitch and the proof, all before there is any client work to show. It had to feel unhinged enough to be worth hiring, and solid enough for a gaming studio to sign a contract off the back of it.

### Approach

I solved it by alternating. The content stays serious throughout and the page is structured like an agency site should be, but it gets interrupted. A hero where grass grows under your cursor, built off the "touch grass" line. Odd assets dropped in along the way. A chalk wall under the footer that anyone can write on. The credibility comes from the execution rather than the tone.

Effects like these can't be specified in a mockup. They only work once the timing and the feel are right, which means finding them in the browser. Designing and building the site myself is what made that possible, and I wrote my own debug tooling to tune them rather than guessing.

### Outcome

Built in React with Sanity, so the team can rewrite the site as their positioning sharpens without coming back to me.
