── In his own words
* How I got here
During my studies I decided I wanted to become a web designer, and wanting to bring my creations to life, I bet on teaching myself design alongside my developer degree. I never would have guessed how much that would help my career.
After graduating, and a short stint at CapGemini, I spent three years at NuxtLabs designing products and brands across the Nuxt ecosystem, a place where I got to experiment a lot and sharpen my design skills. I then went freelance in 2023, where I was lucky enough to work with Evan You on Vite and VoidZero, among others. In mid-2024, after many months freelancing for StackBlitz, Eric Simons asked me to design an R&D project combining their editor with AI. That became Bolt.new, and the company went from $50k to $20M ARR in two months.
Those projects taught me most of what I know about product design and creative direction, at a scale where a bad decision shows up fast and every detail matters.
* How I work
I work with my clients as a team, so you're part of the process from start to finish. I like presenting my work, but I don't hold everything back for a big final reveal where you discover the design all at once and have to react on the spot. We decide the direction together and you see things while they're still moving, so by the final presentation you already know the essentials.
Knowing how to code helps me implement my own designs, but also to deliver coherent mockups and guide engineering teams. With AI, that dual skill set matters even more to me. It lets me push experiments much further.
* What I like
The part of the job I like most is the detail nobody asks for. The spacing that makes a page breathe, the timing of a transition, the sound a button makes. This site has sound design for exactly that reason, and it's the accumulation of those details that makes an interface feel worth staying in.

2023 — Went freelance
Independent since 2023, working with early-stage startups and mid-sized companies.
2024-2025 — StackBlitz — designed Bolt.new from the start
Joined mid-2024 as one of two people on the product team. Owned design and art direction including the logo and product identity. Bolt shipped three months in; the team took it from zero to over $50M ARR and raised $105M. Stayed on the project for a year after launch.
2024 — Vite and VoidZero — with Evan You
Website and brand work for Vite and VoidZero, tooling now at 130M+ weekly downloads. VoidZero was acquired by Cloudflare in 2026.
2025-2026 — Independent client work
Shaders.com, Kindasorta, Stack Auth, Alchemy, and unreleased explorations.
